Gwendolyn Knapp is a sixth-generation Floridian and currently resides in Houston, Texas. She is the author of the memoir After A While You Just Get Used To It: A Tale of Family Clutter, and holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina. Her writing has appeared in The Oxford American, The Southeast Review,  on Narratively, Eater.com and elsewhere.  She took over as food editor at the Houston Press in January 2017.
